Why this BIN comparison tool is useful
When working with EEPROM, immobiliser, KVM, BCM, ECU or security module data, it is common to compare an original dump against a modified dump. A side-by-side byte comparison can help identify changed offsets, confirm a patch area, check whether a file was altered correctly, or inspect differences after a programmer read/write process.
- Compare original and modified EEPROM dumps
- Find changed bytes by offset
- Check files with different lengths
- View hex and ASCII side by side
- Jump directly to offsets such as 0200 or 0270
- Export a simple difference report
Important note for EEPROM and immobiliser work
This tool is for viewing and comparing binary files only. It does not calculate immobiliser data, generate keys, bypass security systems or validate whether a modified file is safe to write back to a module. Always keep the original file, verify your work with the correct professional equipment, and understand the vehicle system before writing any data.
