🔑 Manual Remote Programming Procedure – Suzuki Alto GF (7th Generation)
This step-by-step guide explains how to manually program the remote locking functions for Suzuki Alto models from 2009 to 2013.
⚠️ Important:
This procedure programs remote lock/unlock only.
It does NOT program the immobiliser transponder chip.
If the vehicle will not start with a new key, diagnostic programming is required.

2009–2013 🔐 Manual Remote Programming Procedure
Before starting:
- All doors must be closed
- Ignition key must be out of the ignition
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Open the driver’s door.
- Insert the key and switch the ignition ON.
- Within 10 seconds, switch the ignition OFF and remove the key.
- Within 20 seconds, press and release the driver’s door contact switch 3 times
(The door contact switch is the plunger/button inside the door frame.) - Within 10 seconds of the last press, insert the key, switch ignition ON, then OFF, and remove the key.
- The doors should lock and unlock to confirm programming mode.
- Press LOCK or UNLOCK on the remote you want to program.
- The doors will lock and unlock again to confirm successful programming.
- Repeat Step 7 for any additional remotes.
- Close the door to exit programming mode.
⚠️ Common Reasons Programming Fails
If the procedure doesn’t work, check the following:
- Incorrect remote frequency or part number
- Weak or flat remote battery
- Door contact switch not registering presses
- Immobiliser/transponder issue (remote programs but car won’t start)
If the vehicle never enters programming mode, diagnostic equipment will be required.
