🔑 Manual Remote Programming Procedure – Suzuki Ignis RG413 / RG415

This step-by-step guide explains how to manually program remote locking functions for Suzuki Ignis models from 2000 to 2005.

⚠️ Important:
This procedure programs remote lock/unlock only.
It does NOT program the immobiliser transponder chip.
If the vehicle will not start after programming, diagnostic immobiliser programming is required.

2000–2005 🔐 Manual Remote Programming Procedure

• Maximum 2 remotes can be programmed
• Timing is important — follow the steps carefully

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Confirm all doors are CLOSED and the ignition key is OUT.
2. Open the driver’s door.
3. Insert the key and switch the ignition ON within 10 seconds.
4. Turn the ignition OFF within 10 seconds.
5. Within 20 seconds, press and release the driver’s door contact switch 3 times
   (the door switch is the plunger/button inside the door frame).
6. Within 10 seconds, switch the ignition ON.
7. Turn the ignition OFF within 10 seconds.
8. Within 20 seconds, press and HOLD both LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote for more than 5 seconds.
   🔒 The doors will lock and unlock to confirm programming mode.
9. Within 5 seconds, press LOCK or UNLOCK on the remote.
   🔒 Doors will lock and unlock again to confirm the remote has been stored.
10. To program another remote, repeat the entire procedure from Step 1.

⚠️ Common Reasons Programming Fails

If the procedure does not work, check the following:

• Incorrect remote frequency or part number
• Weak or flat remote battery
• Door contact switch not registering presses
• Timing steps not followed accurately
• Immobiliser/transponder issue (remote works but engine won’t start)

If the vehicle never confirms with door lock cycles, diagnostic programming will be required.

Suzuki Ignis 2016+ ⚠️ Diagnostic Programming Required

For 2016 and newer Suzuki Ignis models, remote and key programming is completed using OBD diagnostic equipment.

🚫 Manual remote programming is not supported on these models.
